I blame you lot!

I purchased ED on the 16th of last month and have been playing using an old Cyborg Evo wireless joystick. It's a major localised smart in the sphincter, mainly because it eats batteries and cuts out just as you get interdicted or start docking. Nightmare. I decided I'd invest in a wired HOTAS system, so went online to buy a T-Flight or an X52 for myself. Nope. None. All gone. Everywhere. I visited a couple of Curries/PC World stores as well as checking online, but it looks like most of Europe is suffering a HOTAS drought right now. I've ordered one from Amazon but they're waiting on stock too and will email when available. I'm guessing ED is responsible, and I demand satisfaction!

I got mine from Scan, they have regular X52's in stock now. I got a pro and you're right they do seem to be out of stock everywhere I'm afraid. Sure it won't be too long before they are back in stock. You could try flea bay but I personally wouldn't get second hand for a HOTAS.

I used a Cyborg Evo before too, you will be very pleased you decided on an X-52, it transforms the game :)

odd, mine doesnt chew through batteries, and ive put alot of daily hours into elite, maybe you have a batch of defective batteries? ive tried other sticks and even a hotas setup and it doesnt match the feel of my evo wireless.....i may just be overly attached to it however! lol

After waiting for a mail from camelcamelcamel I grabbed an x55 from Amazon for £145. It is currently "out for delivery" :)

I bit the bullet and grabbed an x52 Pro off the Amazon Marketplace. Night and day, compared to playing with a gamepad.

Screw those stupid throttle dentents, tho!

PC World/Currys in Crawley had 3 X-52s on the shelves yesterday @GBP99. Was almost tempted to load them into the cargo bay and go trading!

I use a logitech attack 3 + logitech g710+ keyboard. The joystick itself was ~$30. No dramas finding them in stock, either.

Yeah. I think I'm going to give the cheaper Thrustmaster T-Flight X a go but I'm just waiting until they are back in stock more widely.

If you don't mind something a little cheaper, but extremely sturdy I recommend the logitech 3d pro. Ive had one for over 6 years and its never failed on me. Couple of issues with it now 'natch due to age I can easily solve them (if I could be bothered). Its got a real nice feel, enough buttons and is nicely accurate.
