I blame you lot!

Ah hah. I got a very wired up Cyborg X, that was meant for Jumpgate Evolution. Must say I'm pretty happy with it, given that it had to wait a few years before seeing any action. Not that it is the optimal solution for ED or anything, but I don't have to touch the keyboard much. Spilling drinks into it still applies though. Curiously enough.

I would avoid Saitek. There are some issues with them and they feel flimsy and cheap even for the top of the range models.

...

wow, prices for HOTASX have gone up, wonder why ;)
Yep. I had a T.Flight Hotas in my Amazon cart on Dec 15th for $35, and when I went back to buy it on the 16th it had jumped to $45 overnight.

I think this game is putting joysticks back into the hands of people who haven't held one since it looked like this:

I purchased ED on the 16th of last month and have been playing using an old Cyborg Evo wireless joystick. It's a major localised smart in the sphincter, mainly because it eats batteries and cuts out just as you get interdicted or start docking. Nightmare. I decided I'd invest in a wired HOTAS system, so went online to buy a T-Flight or an X52 for myself. Nope. None. All gone. Everywhere. I visited a couple of Curries/PC World stores as well as checking online, but it looks like most of Europe is suffering a HOTAS drought right now. I've ordered one from Amazon but they're waiting on stock too and will email when available. I'm guessing ED is responsible, and I demand satisfaction!

Yeah ..... Sorry about that. *strokes new T-Flight*

This and Star Citizen have caused a bit of a shortage of high end flight sticks. Stock of them is at an all time low.

One word: Blisters! :D

does the X52 have a twist mode on the joystick for yaw? if not how do people use the yaw control? I have the cyborg 3d pro joystick (yes it is old) but the twist yaw is brilliant.

On the X52P, any ideas on how to keep the connecting cable between the throttle and stick from unplugging? It doesn't pop out all the way, just enough to screw you when flying into a terminal. Someone mentioned using hot glue, which sounds good until you want to change the seating arrangements.

Now imagine living in a country where even the simplest Flight Stick is highly overpriced and rare to come by.

I'm glad I managed to get my Thrustmaster and it ain't even a Hotas setup.
