He has some valid points I feel, especially with civil war. It is true that when you go into a civil war system you just don't notice it at all.

ok its a sandbox I agree, its just not got a lot of toys in the sandbox to play with at the moment...

for me a proper sandbox is gta or elderscrolls/fallout......once ED has walking around and more interaction with npc characters ect...then it will be what the masses perceive a sandbox to be

... So long as it is not the "clock, clock, clock" that you see in the SC betas that makes it sound like you're playing Unreal Tournament, in hobnail boots on metal all the time.

A sand box game is where you make the story. Just look at 'Educating Ed' and have a look at all the things the community are doing- wonderful amazing gameplay. Doing the races or trucking with Hutton, fuel rats etc. These commanders have found a way to utilise the sand box and have fun.

Maybe in the future they will introduce mini stories that sprout up from BB missions that can take a week to complete with plenty of avenues that you can pick on your way. When it's over though, it's back to the same old same old. Isn't that real life anyway?

im waffling, sorry...!
