I cannot mine. How can I raise funds to buy a carrier?

This is clearly a hypothetical question, however, it occurs to me that unless I'm missing something, there is no other realistic way to make enough coin to buy AND maintain a carrier, except deep core mining.

Exploration works, although that is a long, long time in the black to make any meaningful money. Other vocations just don't seem to provide a sustainable income of the level required to not just buy a carrier in a reasonable amount of time (for someone triple Elite and with many, many flight hours) but to also maintain it without needing to find a spot with LTD's (or similar) and bleed it dry (if this was a thing).

Admittedly, I've not been in the game 'properly' for a few months, so I might have missed a sudden increase in say, mission rewards.. but I don't see it.

Is this it then? To apparently command the largest civilian ship in the known galaxy, you have to don your hard hat, hi-vis jacket, hoist a pickaxe over your shoulder, and hum 'Whistle while you work'?

If you cannot mine, maybe I can yours instead?

Anyway: the upkeep is fairly miner (ha, get it?) now, anyone with 5b should have little issue with it. Even an explorer should be able to maintain a FC on his own in deep space. Getting to 5b is a steep grind though. Getting 25m/hr is possible in a number of different ways no problem, but that would still mean about 200 hours. My solution is to forget about buying an FC, at least for the coming year. May e something happens, but I am not going to set a 200hr target myself.

Bulk haul Tritium, buy for 5000cr, sell for 80,000cr. Around 62 million credits per trip. Or sell to a carrier for less, and not worry about constant interdiction's.

Considering those 50 million credit Meta allow Bulk runs where considered an exploit, I'd make the most of these prices.

The guy filling my carrier was making 15mill every 7 minutes or so, that was because we had no free slots near the station. 100LS run.

Mining is pretty much the way to go if you want to get funds in the shortest time.
However some triple spots will need to be found.
I found a single Tritium spot and the yield is pathetic, no more than 8%.

So one kill counts for one mission per faction issuing the mission?
Granted I have not done this for a while...
So if Deciat Green faction wants 30 Windri Boys dead, and Deciat Blue faction also wants 30 Windri Boys dead. I just have to kill 30 Windri boys to complete both missions. But, I have not tried that recently so take with a grain of salt. I may try to see if that still works later this week.
