Those Feds, one job to lose reputation, a lifetime to regain it. No matter how many jobs I do for Fed-aligned factions, they stay unfriendly. Not even sure how I got into the Feds bad books to being with...pretty sure I actually started the game as "hostile" to them.

I am unfriendly with the Federation and I also can't raise my rep. It is a pain in the proverbials as it seems to affect the number of times I get interdicted for a "security scan"

Just do some bounty hunting(by yourself, and turn bounties at the nearest Fed station), I found that to be an "easy" way to rank up, Im allied.

But be VERY careful!

Do not scoop any left over cannisters. I did this (thinking 'easy money'), then while killing a wanted Python, the Feds turned up, and instead of helping me, scanned me, issued a 40,000cr fine, and my rep went from neutral to hostile instantly...red all over the place.

After that, I got interdicted every 2 mins (I may be exaggerating), all the stations/ships were red, random Feds would attack me while I was trying to dock, or at USS while I was killing 'wanted' NPCs...generally they were a pain in the ass.

I spent the last week doing Fed missions of all kinds, trading only with Feds, and being a good boy, and am now an Ensign, and just last night finally got off 'hostile' status to 'unfriendly'.

God only knows how long it'll take to get back to neutral, let alone friendly!
