i cant remember... do main servers go offline for the beta launch

Aside from probably a forced launcher update...no, the beta goes up and does not affect production

I am expecting an early Update tomorrow :) maybe because of the Powerplay Circle that ends and this takes down the servers too.

Launcher update should be live by nowish...is currently mandatory for Steam and Oculus. Others will be mandatory when beta goes live. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=246103

I doubt it...the powerplay update is only relevant to the prod server.

Likely, powerplay on the beta will be in whatever state it was when they took the backup of prod to populate the beta server.

I expect beta to go live fairly late in the day (BST).
