I decided to let my powerplant max out on purpose while preparing to jump.

Just to see what would happen.

And i think i either found a bug, or at least proved the "Reboot/Repair" is completely useless. Ok, i exceeded my powerplant which caused everything to poop out but my discovery scanner. I was still able to remove modules, regardless of how many were on or off it made no difference. All my module were fine with only 1% damage to them.

What is the point of having a reboot if the stupid crap wont even work... But hey, self destruct works fine.

Trying to understand just what your problem is here. Reboot/repair doesn't do anything unless the module is damaged to the point where it does not function then cannibalizes other modules to repair it. The powerplant can't actually fail. If it does, you blow up. What's happening for you?

Apparently, if you let your FSD charge for too long (running away etc) it will cap your powerplant and fry everything without actually destroying them.

Everything simply ceases to function, without showing any real damage. Even the powerplant itself only takes 1% of damage. Doesnt matter what you toggle or how many times you reboot... you are just dead in the water until you suffocate or self destruct, even though by looking at your modules everything appears to be fine.

Very interesting. You can't jump or maneuver at all? Does your life support fail as well? I'd submit a bug report if not.

Everything. Basically what happens when a person buys big weapons without setting priorities.

How long did you leave it charging for? I used to just leave it charging for the fun of it, a cool feeling when you have a BKgamer attached to your chair. I never noticed any power plant issues.
