I play since 2015 Elite dangarous and its getting more boring and boring.. This is for me the reason to buy No mans sky.

I will pause elite for a while now.. I hope you guys from frontier will make new content specially for our ships and not for foot combat that no one likes...

See you soon frontier

No I did get 50% Discount and from Frontier I got only frustration. And if they dont notice that their loyal player are leaving the f**king game.. how should you notice it if no one tells it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FD will get new users without complains that the game becomes worse because new users do not know how old game looked like :)
Good luck with NMS, you will need it, that's completely different game :)
There are also other games to try. But you will back anyway. See you soon o7

It is interesting to watch a sizable portion of the ED community flee to greener pastures. It didn't have to be this way, Frontier....

I think you made the right choice with NMS. It is a tremendously fun game, albeit less in Elite's "realistic" vein and more in the "Minecraft in space" way. Once you get used to the massive (and free!) updates that Hello Games regularly rolls out for NMS, you will just become more frustrated with FDev and Odyssey. :giggle:

My other space game of late is the venerable Eve Online. If you want something more realistic, that is the way to go.

Each time you visit a new port check the left hand station section with the upgrades. One of them gives you 1 inventory slot for free each time until you max out. I only learned later and was about to toss the mouse out the window. I hate such inventory trolling. But I asked in a forum and someone tzold me. Have fun.

I'm the same as OP. I've been playing since 2015 - something like 9000 hrs total in my 4 accounts. It's almost been a way of life, but now I'm going to start playing other games including NMS. Previously, the thought of playing something else never came into my mind.

I think it’s strange that people never considered playing anything else. I’m a huge fan of Elite, I’ve been called a white knight (I disagree), but I am also excited about any new space game, and have played NMS, X4, SC, Spce Engineers, Hellion, uh…. I don’t know. All of them. Especially when I feel a bit burnt out in Elite. It’s not football teams, we’re not rivals. It’s like movies. You can have a favorite and still be excited about a new one from a different franchise.

enjoy NMS. It’s awesome, you’ll love it. I haven’t gotten around to trying the last 2 updates but the flying creatures one is exciting.

I was playing the 8 bit and 16 bit Elite back then, Frontier Elite II on the ATARI, X beyond the Frontier and X-tension by Egosoft, StarTopia and the Homeworld series. During kickstarter I felt like there were better plans for the future of ED which for an unknown reason never happened.

Yeah, I am also surprised at the number of people who never explored other space games. Elite was my favorite space game of these past five years, but that never stopped me from trying other games, from NMS to Eve Online. I guess there are people out there who are far more single-minded than me. I am a dabbler; I like to try different things, especially when it comes to space games. :)

I never got the single-game lifestyle either. There are so many games doing great things differently. 🤷‍♀️
