I was interdicted by a clean, Elite commander aligned with ALD in an Anaconda.. Honestly since we were both clean, I thought it was an accident and was not expecting a fight. As we came out of supercruise, he appeared right above me with his underside vulnerable. I didn't fire. Eventually, he turned around and we both sat in front of each other for a few seconds- then, he shot two torpedoes at me. I sat there and instead of just targeting the torps and shooting them, I yawed up and tried boosting.. I was totally unprepared for what happened next- the two torpedoes took down my shields and armor was down to 60%.. since I rely heavily on shields, I had no armor so I was toast at that point.
Three things I learned about myself: 1. I am too compassionate [heart]. 2. I never dealt with torpedoes (was expecting conventional weapons) 3. I was too confident in my shields protecting me.
It is what it is.
