Horizons I discovered that the little settlements on planet surfaces can have landing pads

So, I'm just screwing around doing a mission on a planet when I come upon a nice little settlement with a landing pad. I've never seen them with a landing pad before, so I'm probably waaaayyyy behind the times. Well, on one of these pads was an Eagle that just couldn't get enough of the pad:

Naturally I wanted to get in on the action, but there I had two problems: a) I had to blow up a settlement generator, which would make this place hostile to me, and b) the Eagle wasn't budging. Why not kill two birds with one stone? I, err, made the place aware of my of my intentions and after some, uh, "negotiations" I managed to convince them to give me a chance.

That's pretty neat, I hadn't noticed this yet either. I wonder if this could be something for future content. The fact the AI seems to have been trying to use it would imply there's some code that confused it enough to give it a go, so maybe in the future we'll be able to use these.

Nice though, very cool.

I used to use the landing pad to land when doing Cubeo runs. Always remember to land backwards since that's the way the SRV comes out.

I found another settlement just like this one a little bit later; there was a Vulture parked almost perfectly on the pad. He was a pretty good shot with a plasma accelerator though, and I was in an SRV at the time...
