Just to let you know my 8 year old boy is still very fond of jwe 1 and 2, and while the systems hes slowly picking at as his reading and gaming approve, he can spend hours in creative move making parks and looking and dinosaurs, so i hope with full planet jurassic mode there's still ways to make parks by stamping rather than lego.

I think your kid could play it comfortably if modular building is not something he is interested in.

Frontier has brought up that there will be a selection of premade buildings and assets for you to use in JWE3. I need to double check but I also read at some point that the upcoming game's challenge mode will actually limit you to only use the game's prebuilt assets. So if that is true, then the game could function well without touching the modular gameplay.

And that is just the base game stuff. I am sure once the game goes live, there will be a plethora of downloadable blueprints that could be plopped down to your park from the workshop, so I am interested myself to see what would be accessible after the game releases.
