I don't know if this has been posted before but I think it's great for us explorers.

I just stumbled onto this thread and was stumped as to why I didn't find this before.

They discuss the different sounds planets make in the system map.

Cmdr Shellstrom even made a tool for those planet sounds which personally I think is just plain awesome!!!

To all (new) explorers out there this is a must have for choosing your planets to scan.

If this has been posted before then my apologies, a reminder could never hurt no?

I use the planet sounds to determine if that blue gem is an ELW or not. Just listen for the birds.

Nice, I've been exploring for ages and had no idea this was a thing.

Hooray knowlege! Here, have a rep :D

Good find, still wish in sounds like these had a boost option in terms of volume, separate from other stuff.

Or, perhaps you'd prefer that the game read your mind and plaster MASSIVE arrows pointing toward YOUR current object of avarice. I do know what you mean, but, ED, perhaps uniquely now, rewards exploration and immersion in its systems.
Having said that, yeah, a boost option for those sounds would be, erm, sound (to sound just a little more scouse for a moment).

@LostLegend - *sniff* our children are learning! They are growing up! Soon they will do Sag A runs using their ears to determine the rich goody goodness!
*beams with pride* :D

Yes, there's nothing like the telltale cheeping of birds to confirm that, yes, it is totally worth travelling the 700,000ls to that unclaimed green and blue sphere! :D
