I don't need space legs...

For zero G, sure sign me up.

But what about when we dock at a starport with centrifugal gravity ?
Or land on a planet ?

I still think bottom line that this game is made for an in cockpit style of play.
Adding legs or hands would be a step in a non intended direction, just look at EVE and the HUGE update supposed to be walking in stations only to be the, I like to call it, the great janitors closet.

Coming out of the Matrix is a bit of an adjustment for me right now. I am seeing things in 3D IRL... wait, am I supposed to?

It takes me a few minutes to get my IRL legs back. Earlier I was scooping in my Cobra on my way out to Sothis (that recovery didn't take long) and my wife taps me on the shoulder and says something and it scared the bejeesus out of me. I told her "I am in another world, you were like the hand of God reaching in and telling me "dinner is ready".

But yeah, floating around would be cool. I just set up the touch controllers and went through the crazy robot in a small room thing.. butterflies on the finger and all that 3D printing thing. Nuts. It's ahead of Defender and Zaxxon by a mile.

More than my own legs - which I can look at real easy these days (what posessed me to get those webbed feet things! They're like sandals and socks - just no!), what I'd really like is to look at someone sat in the empty seat next to me. I haven't multi-crewed, and don't intend to, but a NPC ship mate or two, even if they're just sitting there reading a newspaper-datapad-thing-whatever or walking about the bridge now and again would be great.

For me landing on atmospheric planets wayyyy more important than space legs!
As long as Frontier don't lend (to much) code from No Mans Buy, I'm in.
The planet generation is very well done but the creature generation is bullocks. And the "star ports" in No Mans Buy are a disgrace, not to mention the flight model.
Yes, I sunk money in it.

This "Space Legs" business is a waste of development resources, especially for VR users...JMHO.

I couldn't disagree more. Being able to move around my ship, repair, inspect, simply stare out a window ... is what would make ED one of the best VR experiences for me (if implemented correctly of course). It would make my ship feel like MY ship. After 2-3 years of playing, I'm kind of sick of being stuck in my seat.
