Engineers I don't understand what exactly Tod mcquinn needs?

I got 200K combat bounds making combat in high intensity conflict zone.
He says i gave him only 20K. ?

Yes, ANY bounties are accepted to initially unlock him.
He only gets all fussy in only accepting his own local bounties to push your reputation up with him as an alternative to creating low level mods.
Bonds, on the other hand are no use here.

Thanks for the tip buddy but could you clarify a little please?

I too tried to hand him what I thought were bounties (cash I received from blowing up wanted npc's) but he wouldn't accept them, I realise now they must have been bonds, I think.

Bounties, are these acquired from doing missions, or how do I get hold of bounties to give him? I apologise for the noobish question but I rarely do pew-pew, just surface missions.

Any replies are helpful and appreciated, ta.

Bounties are from shooting random interdictions, or from resource extraction sites.
Bonds are from combat zones where you need to pick a side before starting the shooting.

Wait wait WAIT! Are you saying I can give him bounties instead of grinding mods? I don't see where that is evident on his UI, unless I'm just not looking in the right place. in other words I don't think there's any descriptive text that says he'll accept bounties (and what type) in lieu of mods to bolster rep, unless I am completely missing it (entirely possible) ...

Yes, but they are specific Tod bounties only available in his system and others say they are pretty rare.
Another player said he went straight to level 3 after unlocking him with the thought that this may be related to his proficiency in CQC/Arena. This could be the case as Tod is an ex CQC champion but not substantiated AFAIK.
