I enter the space station, I get blasted by lasers, why?

So I enter the space station and immediately i start getting shot at by the lasers inside the space station, why? It would be nice if at least in the game I got an explanation as to why I got blown up!

Before I entered the space station I got an alarm for hostile ship, maybe that had something to do with it. LOL

Do you recall what was in your cargo hold that might have shown up on a scan? Anything illegal? Or possibly "found" floating in space?

Did you remember to request docking permission? If you don't, then it thinks you're trespassing. It will give you a warning, and a few seconds to get out, and then it will shoot.

No, the stations do not shoot you for trespassing. More than likely OP got killed by a player doing what I do.

Just sit at the way back of the station and shoot people when they fly into the dock. You can track them ridiculously easy at that distance.

i once had fines to pay the federation; passed by the station and was destined to chunks.

When people ask why nobody wants to play on-line, I'm going to quote Spinel's post.

Because the AI police is meant to respond to disturbances inside of stations, but it can't handle flying inside the stations.

I've found quite a few bugs already. I wonder if Frontier is actually gona ban people for duping and such. I'm frankly not sure how they'll handle some of the bugs I've found.

There are five possibilities for getting shot at by the station I can think of.
1. Failure to get permission from the station to dock. The station shoots anything coming in the entrance that doesn't have permission.
2. Loitering at the entrance. Going too slow or stopping at the entrance and thus blocking it triggers a lethal response.
3. Pad Loitering. This is blocking a pad that's not yours, triggers a lethal response.
4. Failure to leave within the time limit. If you launch and take too long to leave then the station shoots you.
5. Being scanned and coming up as "Wanted" in that jurisdiction. You can be tagged as Wanted if you have a bounty for crimes. If you are carrying stolen goods and it is reported then you get a bounty.

Sounds like probably #5 in your situation. You may have briefly seen a bounty amount on your head briefly appear after you were scanned and before you got toasted.

To ferry stolen goods you have to try to get in the dock without being scanned and that requires awareness of where the security vessels are and some speed to zoom in quick. It also is possible to quickly get in and dock and get down in the safety of the hangar even if you are being shot at. Be sure to clear that bounty at the office.

if you scooped up cargo (it's illegal), have any illegal goods or didn't check if you have actual permission to dock before entering station you can be attacked

sometimes docking permissions time out, and if you do not check that BEFORE you enter station you can lose 500k like i did easily

Dock at a station in a different system and pay them there from the Contacts section of Station Services. Your bounties are system-specifc.

If you're carrying 'stolen' cargo pods, get in and dock quickly, immediately enter the hangar. Letting someone complete a scan is *bad* for your health.

Pay your fines and offload the stolen booty.

If the station doesn't have a black market and you're going to hold on to the stuff and sell elsewhere, then take off and leave the vicinity of the station QUICKLY before getting scanned.

This sound weird , but guys as Spinal do a good job(beta) , im really dissapointed ppl act against in that way , on PM level and such cant you guys see it?

what you think we act all brave and like the pope in the game? and then at release a flood of new players come in.(and remember , forums very small % of population in games)

all those flaws needs testing too , give the dude a break , devs need to know , right?
and you can ignore all the ppl who want , and be with only friends or alone
