Horizons I feel bad, really bad........

So found a crash site along with 2 occupied escape pods. Being a kindly chap, I decided to scoop then up to rescue the poor souls trapped inside.

At the nearest station, 'Dyson Ring' I found that the only thing I could do was sell them on the commodities market. I hope they have a better life as 'imperial slaves' instead of hibernating on some dusty planet crater.

It would be cool in a future release if we could rescue crew from escape pods and employ them as npc crew.

I agree. Collected Occupied Escape Pods could be turned in at some systems (those not ruled by evil sorts) to the "Contacts" medical center for a small payment.

Or some Escape Pods could generate new missions upon collection, offering a decent reward if they are taken to a certain station for rescue.

Lots of better play options could be done with these, than selling them.

EDIT: As mentioned above, I also just drop them on the landing bay, and imagine them being taken to station medical services.

I like the dropping option suggested.

I remember the original elite novel mentioned 'mamba' or 'moray' medical ships. Perhaps one day these could be introduced to the game to allow escapepod transfers, etc.

Don't feel bad.

I found 4 escape pods at a crash site, with loads of illegal drugs about 1000ly fron Sol, on the way to Sagittarius A.

So I scooped them up...

...and dumped then in The Great Annihilator.

That was several months ago.
:D

Crime and Punishment.

I'm hoping something more is going to be done with escape pods. A choice at least; freedom, slavery, sold as biowaste?

While I'm one of those always trying to help an "NPC in need" by taking them to a station, I have to admit that I laughed out loud when I read your message :)
