PvP I feel like a real jerk.

Following on from yesterdays open play in Eravate, I went back tonight and winged up with one of the same guys. Things were going great, he got promoted, and even made enough credits to buy a Vulture.
Second session in the Hazres, I spotted a wanted player in of all things a Vulture. No I didn't shoot my own wingman. What I did do, was make the call that a wanted player is fair PvP game. So it's game on, but the Vulture tries to jump out.
Long story short, Vulture is dead in 10 seconds or less, and I collect 200Cr for killing someone who accepted a friends request from me last night. He was also aligned to the same Power Play faction as me.

Poor guy must have just clipped a non hostile, and I acted just like those homicidal NPC cops.
So I will now go and sit in gankers corner.

Sorry dude.

Yes. This game is full of similar types. Ironically, it seems that's all that's likely to be left playing the game pretty soon.

Go figure.

Don't worry, be happy! You just won a ticket to have all your stuff back in case another player kills you and you can't afford the rebuy. Like everyone sitting in the gankers corner! ;)

Hehehe, even the most virtuous fall off the wagon occasionally.

At one CG HazRES, I spied a clean FDL with a name that made me sit up & notice in my Pacifier-laden Vulture...a Cmdr BurgerKing! I messaged him "I could murder a Burger King right now"....so I did; he was demolished in about 10 seconds...somewhat quicker than the real thing, even when I'm ravenous [big grin][big grin]

It's completely out of character for me but in this case, who among us would've turned down such a beautiful moment in space & time?! To err is human; to forgive, divine...& as such, I trust Cmdr BK's divinity is incontrovertible?!

This gets my post of 2019 award, now I need to clean this coffee off my keyboard. [big grin]

Assuming your thoughts on this are serious, I'm glad you acknowledged the dilemma the interaction presented you with. How you handled it is up to you, play your own way. Had you not met them before would you have behaved differently? Or would you have just felt differently?

Good question, if I had seen the bounty was only 200 credits, I would have sent a message saying get out of dodge, so my fault for not checking the contacts panel. Heat of battle and all that. My wingman and I, had just finished fighting a FAS with two Chieftain wingmen, not a hard fight really, I think the FAS was expert and the Chiefs were competent, my wingman is novice, and I'm sharing kills to help him get some credits. I think "White knight in rusty armour" about sums it up.

It would be nice to have a credit transfer system between players, but it would probably get abused.
