PvP I feel like a real jerk.

Good question, if I had seen the bounty was only 200 credits, I would have sent a message saying get out of dodge, so my fault for not checking the contacts panel. Heat of battle and all that. My wingman and I, had just finished fighting a FAS with two Chieftain wingmen, not a hard fight really, I think the FAS was expert and the Chiefs were competent, my wingman is novice, and I'm sharing kills to help him get some credits. I think "White knight in rusty armour" about sums it up.

It would be nice to have a credit transfer system between players, but it would probably get abused.

One of the ways I have thanked players is to give them meta-alloys for the Farseer unlock. Whether they will trust you again is another matter of course. Trust is far easier to lose than it is to gain.

Hehehe, even the most virtuous fall off the wagon occasionally.

At one CG HazRES, I spied a clean FDL with a name that made me sit up & notice in my Pacifier-laden Vulture...a Cmdr BurgerKing! I messaged him "I could murder a Burger King right now"....so I did; he was demolished in about 10 seconds...somewhat quicker than the real thing, even when I'm ravenous [big grin][big grin]

It's completely out of character for me but in this case, who among us would've turned down such a beautiful moment in space & time?! To err is human; to forgive, divine...& as such, I trust Cmdr BK's divinity is incontrovertible?!

I am Bigmaec and I approve of the killing of my eternal enemy.

A wanted ship is a valid PvP target for those playing honorable CMDRs. The caveat here is that he was a PP ally. I personally don't target PP allies unless it is evident they are scum deserving destruction. After all, PP can easily earn you a bounty, especially in hostile systems.

Now as for how Frontier has written the game to give bounties vs. fines, that's a different matter. IMO there should be no 300cr bounties, only fines. Bounties should be reserved for the big offenses and thus offer big rewards. So in a way Frontier griefed that poor fellow, not you.

Wanted is Wanted. I don't bother with scale.

When I see people sitting in open, especially going slow in supercruise, with really small bounties I usually give them a heads-up that they should probably do something about that. Something like "hate to see you pulled and killed over a few hundred credits". Because I'm a nice guy like that.

However, I also say it in system chat so that everyone else in the system is aware that there's a free kill hanging around. Because I like to stir the pot.

Have I ever told you that you're my hero?
