i feel scammed after the changes of the last hotfix to the plainsman drifter outfit

With the latest hotfix the "problem" of the visibility of the scarf of this skin has been solved, however the developers have not solved the problem, they simply avoided it by ruining the skin, completely removing the scarf and the various details from it. Now the skin is just a bunch of poor quality textures. needless to say I'm irritated by their way of solving it, remember that this game is 90% ships and 10% odyssey, most of the time you will have to spend it on ships so it is MANDATORY that the paid skins have the same quality both on foot than on ships. now every time i want to take a screenshot of me in the ship thanks to the change of this skin it just comes to my mind how i wasted 15 euros for a skin that was already overpriced before (but really high quality so it was worth it for me) but now it is simply absurd. if you developers really weren't able to fix the visibility of the scarf, instead of removing it along with all the details you could have put a toggle option that allowed you to keep it. so players who appreciate the aesthetics of it could have kept it while others remove it. there are no words to how scammed and disappointed I feel. please fix it or refund anyone who is currently unsatisfied with the product, like me.

I'm crying this is beyond bad 😂

Why did you buy that?

This honestly, to me, is the end all be all proof, that fdev, litearlly have lost their talent. If they cant fix this simple of a bug, where literally you just don't texture the back half of the scarf so you can see through it, and they cant do that.

Im sorry but i think the problem with odyssey is not just management, but the incomitance of their own developers if THIS is the fix.

This isn't the first thread on the plainsman "fix", and it certainly won't be the last. It's bad enough just how much Frontier are charging for these in real world equivalent prices, but to nix the signature pieces of the outfit as a fix, that is unbelievable. I ttoally understand your ire, but I do think it will get fixed, albeit in what seems like "far too long" a time for the fix.

FWIW, i've got a rake of limited edition "iridescent" paint jobs that now look like they were applied to the ships by a six year old with posterpaints, so I feel your pain.

I appreciate your words, I honestly didn't think there were any other posts on the skin in question. I decided to make one simply to try to encourage the developers to find a real fix that wouldn't ruin the skin. the disappointment remains but above all it was created not so much for the fix itself but for the fact that it seemed that they had given it for "case closed, let's move on". if they had at least said "for now we are incredibly busy fixing odyssey, so for now the skin will stay that way but will be fixed in the future" I would have been much less dissatisfied

I think it goes without say that they "are incredibly busy fixing odyssey" - it's just unfortunate that they have to do an element of triage to decide what to fix first, and sadly for both of us, our pet features, my beloved VR, or your (awesome looking) CMDR suit, are not "code blue" on the triage scale.

Why would you want to wear a scarf while sitting in your pilot seat?

1) i paid for it.
2) this is not the way to fix things.
3) it is called style.
4) the scarf and the other details cover the low quality textures under it
5) this is a game.

the scarf and the cowboy outfit are useless in space but we both paid for it. should we not use it then? stop asking stupid question.

Do you not think it's maybe just a bug, a knock-on effect of them genuinely trying to hotfix the (minor) original bug?

In my experience making quick fixes with the best of intentions regularly leads to knock-on problems that themselves end up taking longer to fix. I'm guessing it WILL be fixed in time.
