Two CMDRs docking alongside me, going slow towards the letterbox. I'll show 'em how its done, I thought. Blasted through letterbox, full reverse thrust to thump down onto the landing pad. I soooo know what I am doing here, smooth as silk folks, smooth as silk.

Accidentally hit BOOST, couldn't get four pips to shields in time before the end wall of the hanger approached very very quickly.

Inevitable crash and fiery explosion and 500,000 insurance claim and at least that again in lost bounties/missions.

Yeah, that'll show 'em how its done.

I think I've done this in every ship I have had so far..... the most recent one.... fully "A" kitted out ASP, last run before I had enough cash to get my type 7.... hit boost instead of landing gear as I was going through the letter box.... no shields as I wanted the extra cargo space.... back wall.... not the last trip before I could get my type 7 :-( dag nam it!!!!

I don't have Boost on any HOTAS Button.

I have (via VA) "Combat Boost" which boosts straight away (when in combat). The other VA command is "Boost" for which ASTRA asks me to confirm to carry it out (if nothing said within 5 seconds, the command is cancelled - all thanks to the DizzyB High tutorial).

Approaching the station/platform. My command is "Docking Stations". ASTRA puts engines to "All Stop", Pips to Systems (for shields), then lets me know she is ready to send the docking request to the station.
