i finally have an anaconda :-)

am very happy to finally be able to get one,but will be grinding in single player mode for a while now to be able to afford to outfit both it and my python. am going to try and use my conda for the trade route i have been doing and hopefully i can then earn the money quicker.

it's a bloody big beast isn't it though (am very nervous about when i have to dock and leave e.t.c in it) but am definitely glad i finally have one (and i do have the rebuy cost also in case it all goes pete tong :O

Make sure you have enough for the rebuy at all times. Wouldn't want to lose it all because you were too quick to buy it without having extra credits in case of the worst.

I've found the Anaconda is actually very easy to dock. My first impressions (having just bought one myself) is that it's more nimble than I expected, and that it heats up very quickly when fuel scooping (so I will be getting an A-rated powerplant when I have the spare credits to do so).

Congrats! Getting a conda is a big deal. I'm probably going to be getting mine in a couple weeks. I've got a few other things I need to do before I can put my nose to the grindstone with my T9 and get all the cash I'll need for the conda.

You can't land it at outposts, and although the missions are crappy, many will be closed off to you. I traded mine in for my old Python and made it top spec instead. I'm gonna need this ship to send tonnes of fish to my Engineer (they need fish to upgrade your lasers, such is the genius of the incoming upgrade.)

Welcome to Club Conda. I had 16 mill left after I did the initial purchase with an A6 FSD. I was as nervous as anything, flying carefully back to my system which was around 180 ly away. I was relieved that I made it without any dramas and earned some credit along the way.

I use it mainly for trade now, carrying 432 slots with enough armaments (4 Beams and 4 Multis) to take out anything that interdicts me along the way. Now that I have a FAS it is no longer my fighting ship however its my preferred vessel and I love flying it.

In case you werent away Diaguandri:Ray Gateway has them at 15% discount as a all parts when in stock. With the A8 Power Plant at 162 mill its worth the trip to save around 24 mill.

Ahh, she's a fine cutter, mate! I heard you had a run-in wit some ne'er-do-wells flying 'em, but you can't blame a ship for her captain, eh? The Titanic was a perfectly good ship, she just had an idiot captain what sailed 'er into a mountainside.

I've one of these behemoths in my stable, and I swear by 'er. Hasn't let me down once, for all I've put 'er through. Not cheap to outfit, though! The A rated PP isn't far off from a new Corvette :O

I have one too, though atm its main use is trading and exploration, I have a FAS and an FDL, and I'm saving up to bring my Clipper back to life as a fighter-interceptor, so combat is well and truly covered.

The 'conda travels awesomely well and will make you a metric tonne of credits though. Enjoy!

Its a lovely beast of a ship, recently bought my second so I didn't have to keep changing set ups as much (one is a permanent mining configuration)

Other than NPC Interdictions I've not taken them into combat properly, (have my python for that till I can afford to outfit the conda properly) - Although the closest I've come to combat in the Conda was a staring match with a silent pirate - (who was actually trying to communicate with me but I wasn't receiving his messages)

Congrats! I feel like finally hopping into an Anaconda is a milestone for a lot of people, myself included. A-rating it is like buying the ship itself a few times over, so unfortunately your credit grind is only beginning but its a fun ship to fly. It is a big boy for sure, but once I got A-rated thrusters on it it felt like an entirely different ship! Surprisingly nimble. Have fun!
