I got that permit by accident, somehow. I'm a beta backer, but only by a hair. I missed the Premium Beta (which includes the Founders Permit) by one day...so I always just assumed I got the benefit of some bleed over.

I'm a premium beta backer, but never got access until I became an Elite explorer. You are one of those who got access by accident before they 'fixed' it. I read somewhere that clearing your save would remove the permit, but I also read somewhere it would not :rolleyes:

Anyways, does forum elite add anything? Access to the Design forums? :D

Yeah, I've been on the same save since Gamma...totally missed this bit of information though. Don't fret though, I always felt dirty having it. I've only been to Founders during beta.

Forum Elite should allow me to use the biggest fonts possible right? With animated words and gradient paragraphs...ahh the good ole days of AOL chat rooms.

You will notice that being forum elite isn´t as fun as being a small forumite in a big forum. You should delete your forum save and start anew, see how fast you get to elite this time!

.... or he could just see how long it takes him to Prestige his Forum Elite.... ;)

Congratulations Monk.

The biggest difference you'll notice is that the NPCs they send out to argue about your posts are now no longer one rank up from you.

I think that the sad part really is that if ED was such an engaging and entertaining game _all_the_time_, not many posters would be anything higher than Novice in this forum.

Not in my case. Games I'm highly engaged in get to have my lovely presence on their official forums. I rarely post when I could be playing.

Unlike say...Star Citizen, where I was pretty active for a month, made a few posts on the forum and then abandoned both.

I work shifts. If I'm not at home playing it I'm at work talking about it.

I ran the Rhienland Federal Police, was a wingman to BulldogUK for the Blood Dragons (until he was perma-banned), flew with Dboy and Hellfire Legion and wrote the bulk of my roleplay based on The Order.

Think I applied for membership in Rhienland Police but didn't get in.
Was a member of the BHG, Zoners and BAF tho....fun times!

Downfall then as now is limited time to play and cannot commit a timeframe due to RL.

My 16yo son still loves to play FL to this day.
