Yeah voice attack is amazing. I actually bought it long ago well before ED was a thing but it really came into its own with ED. Couple it with EDDI and voice packs and it really adds to the game.
Agreed, VA, EDDI and a couple of voice packs (and Singularity) make the game even more fun. I'm building up to a Rift at some point soon, it's meant learning the VA code stuff but it's not that difficult to get into and it means you can make your own commands to get the AIs to do whatever you need.
"Launch Fighter" or "Launch Fighter one" or if equipped "Launch Fighter two". Works pretty well.
Only program failures I get are "Open Starport Services" and if that fails then the "Launch" command quits working too. Rather random. Might work all night or might just quit accepting these two commands. Only way to get them working again is to close to desktop, shut down Elite launcher and VA and restart both. Or just use the keyboard for those two commands if it decides to not act on them.

Biggest issue I'm having is the menu positions aren't easy to reset after use in the macro. Works fine the first time, not so well for the second
I'm pretty sure I could work around it with the conditions etc in VA, but if it glitches, like you said - shutdown and restart both.
There isn't although beta gave us opened panel info so that's half the battle fixed. Tab positions can still only be tracked using variables. If they're out of synch because you moved them then move the tab to the far left position, close the panels and say run diagnostics to reset them (close panels won't be needed when 3.0 is live). You can also attach the left and right menu keys/joys to the cmds so it will keep tracked if you press them rather than use a voice cmd.
