Currently, the only ships that can equip a Fighter Hangar module are:
Alliance Crusader (Class 5-6)
Anaconda (Class 5-7)
Beluga Liner (Class 5-6)
Federal Corvette (Class 5-7)
Federal Gunship (Class 5-6)
Imperial Cutter (Class 5-7)
Keelback (Class 5)
Krait MkII (Class 5-6)
Type-9 Heavy (Class 5-7)
Type-10 Defender (Class 5-7)
Edit: Cheapest Entry Point to try em out would be Keelback
Edit2: Actually thinking about it if you just wanna try em out try Multi-Crew most commanders offering a seat for Bounty Hunting will equip them.

Simple as that. Thank you. Kept seeing the abbreviation and context said it was a fighter but for the life of me I couldn't work out what the 'SL' bit was.

I was led to believe this is a discussion forum about Elite Dangerous so, with the intention of encouraging discussion about ED, I prefer it if people discuss stuff here rather than "google it". [up]
There's pretty much no question about ED that can't be answered by "googling it" but raising a topic here creates the possibility that other useful bits of info' will be revealed during the discussion - which happens more often than not.
And, besides, let's face it, the only reason you can "google it" is because it (whatever "it" is) has already been discussed before.

Edit: Give someone an answer, and they'll come back for another. Tell someone how to get an answer and they'll know more than they started with. Gve a person who wants an answer a discussion, and you'll have a 100 page thread of nothing, and they still won't have the answer

When I first started playing Elite all of the acronyms and abbreviations on the forums were a nightmare. I haven’t been much of a gamer for most of my adult life, so even terms like “min-maxing” were complete gibberish to me. I try not to use them too much - it's not that much more effort to say things in a way that everyone can understand. At the very least, we should create an Elite translation/dictionary thread for newcomers.
(of course, by we I mean someone other than me)
