I give in

If only there was some resource that could answer many of the questions we get on here ;) http://lmgtfy.com/?q=elite+slf

Your incorrect google does not answer anything, it simply points you to a resource that does, Like the forums here.

All you did was add an extra middleman, there's plenty of helpful folk here that do answer questions as you can see by reading the other answers to this thread.
That's kind of what this forum is for, answering questions so he asked in the right place.

It probably took you more time to copy and paste that link than it would have done to type "Ship Launched Fighter".

Guess your an honorary norwegian.

There is. It's Google. And I'm well aware of it. My apologies for wasting the forum's time.
Don't worry. Some think you're supposed to be omniscient about every single abbreviation, phrase, and such. It was a fair question you made.

Perhaps someone should start a thread for all abbreviations. I know there's plenty when it comes to the modules, and now we're getting new ones, like FSS for instance. And most are TLAs (three letter acronyms).

For ages, I was wondering why everyone was talking about having Stiff Little Fingers in the game...

ship Launched Fighter

Currently, the only ships that can equip a Fighter Hangar module are:

Krait MkII (Class 5-6)
This one is interesting to me. With a fully upgraded and engineered build with Guardian FSD Booster, it has a 52 ly jumprange. While I wouldn't want to fly it all the way to Beagle Point, I'd consider it for shorter trips, because it has room for a fighter hanger. I've never used SLFs before, since I'm not into combat and an AspX cannot fit a hanger. Plus the Krait has 1 more cargo slot, so I don't have to give up anything (except the AspX). I do think SLFs could be fun and help break the monotony of exploration.

I hate acronyms :) Why does EDDI say, at the end of a hyperspace jump, when describing the new system 'From NPC ....' What does 'NPC' mean?
Usually it means Non-Player Character. But in this context (BTW, what does EDDI mean?), I don't know. :)
