I Got Bored

I stopped playing for about 2 weeks after playing nearly every night since launch, not sure why I stopped, other things just got in the way I guess. Anyway I loaded up again yesterday, played about half an hour and found I was bored. I logged out and went searching for a release date for GTA5. What's happened to me, what's gone wrong. I have traded, I bounty hunted, Mined, got involved with community goals, followed all the false hopes from the news feed and now I am updating with an ETA of one hour.....

HELP!!!!!!!

you're just like many who reached the limit of what the game currently offers. but like 1.2 wings, there will be more content in a steady manner. i promise you that they are doing the math for players like you. "how long until an average player will get bored of this new update?", "when is the most optimal time to release more content to keep the players interested?", they have limited resources and can't release content any faster. just how these types of games work. i guarantee you'll be back and in awe again when the first paid expansion comes.

Nothing wrong with you OP, and I suspect that your experience will be common to many - it is certainly mine - not least as there is no 'goal' in ED, excepting those that you set for yourself.

For context I joined ED in the original beta, so played it a lot (aka 'way too much'...) early on, went through multiple re-starts/wipes, and loved every evolving second.

I ignored it completely in February, when I got a bit bored with all the trading required to get me to a Python. Subsequently however I have been happily enjoying 1.2 beta-testing - and it's f-a-b...

So, make yourself a cuppa, await the download, and then go and enjoy the external views - they are stunning!

Add exploration into your mix of activities. I think you will find it really adds legs to the game, more so than I expected when I first started doing it. There is something exciting about going into an Unknown system to see what you find ... almost like opening cartel packs in SWTOR for a hidden reward.

This. Exploration may not be for everyone, but a lot of people seem to get hooked, and it seems to hold them more than they expect. I know it is my favorite part of the game.
