Then I got Multiple Sclerosis. A week later I can't even use a knife and fork.

Why not? I have RRMs, which type have you got? Ive never oncehad issues feeding meself, and cooking is something I do every day as Im a single parent and got nobody else to do it for me.

Still have some issues actually playing though...sitting at a desk is nigh on impssible and the constant pain has to be at times heavily medicated, so one tends to drool in a drug fuelled daze most nights. Doesnt appear to affect actual ability and I do play a number of FPS games as well as this, so if Im playing badly, then all the others who score well below me must be the most noobish of noobs...

Also...what exactly is the topic?

Clearly you have lesions in very different parts of your central nervous system.

Topic is, it's not as simple as everybody getting good.

Topic is, it's not as simple as everybody getting good.

6 on my brain and 3 on the top of my spinal column...makes fer some very interesting days I can assure you. Tis not all roses and sunshine thats fer sure...

Its true I dont suffer from vision issues, and I have friends who do. Its a condition that affects the nervous system so effects and symptoms can vary wildly and the best news is, there is no cure so we get to keep enjoying it until either that or life kills us.

And no its not that simple...I can no longer use a keyboard, as in I physically cant use one no matter how much I want to. Im guessing yours is much more advanced than mine if yer having trouble using utensils...wasnt meaning to call that into doubt, I know the symptoms well, I just havent got that far with mine yet...but I do know its simply a matter of time and theres nothing I can do to stop that.

The depression is the worst. I lost my job and am currently losing my home because I simply cant afford to keep it...and the stairs hurt too much. Watched my life disintegrate and thats the life I had to build after losing my wife nearly 8 years ago to cancer...left me with an autistic 6 year old and a mountain of debts. Then just as ye claw yer way back, yer diagnosed with MS and things get even worse than they were before...

Health to enjoy cmdr...take care yerself ^

Not really. I need to play games to get my coordination back. I need solo mode now. Can't go into open.

What sorta setup do ye have? Mine is simple enough, xbone joypad, sofa and plenty of weed, although I do miss having the ability to skin up and I have to vape now. Not sure what else to say if its coordination as I have some issues with it meself, though only when I try and walk...I look drunk. So funny when the peelers stop ye within 50 yards of when ye stumbled into the car to go somewhere, and they insist on a breathalizer test...I dont drink alcohol at all...tee total.

Gaming ability hasnt really taken that much of a hit if I can still top the scoreboard in gears4, then chill out in here fer an hour or go troll the streets of los santos with the crew.

Hope ye dont mind me asking or discussing it? My own diagnosis was about 2 and half years ago and Ive led a very outdoors active life, so my core fitness and health was already good, along with a physically demanding job. Things have gone downhill a bit fer me but I can still function normally...more or less.

What meds they put ye on? Im on tecfidera which reduces the relapses only while I self manage the pain...questionable ethics of specifically how I manage the pain but it works while nothing legal is even half as effective.

Karla; this is very sad to hear as MS is one of the real nasties of this world. They say that it is inherited but normally skips a generation, it also sounds like you have the form, that relapses and then goes into remission; due to the way you said it hit you hard. I don't feel there is a better or worse form of this illness and it is not something I would wish on anyone. I worked with the disabled in the 90s and saw a lot of people with MS and was amazed just how many different types of possible ways people tried to use to relieve or cure it. From gluten free diets to all sorts of off the wall remedies and potions, but I would say, stick to the professional advice and avoid anyone asking for money. Verminstar is right about the weed, is does have beneficial effect, with the pain, tremors and shakes, along with helping regaining coordination etc.. The only thing I can offer as advise, is try to be positive, as I believe your state of mind, is half the battle when confronting this thing. I see that you are putting words to the page, is this by hand? If so, it is step in the right direction. Take care.

Relapsing remitting...one gets to know those words well. Will just add one cautionary thing...the weed can be hit and miss with the coordination part, although that could be a side effect of whatever pain meds yer taking. Legal ones I mean. Killing the pain entirely can put ye on yer back in a doped up mess to the point where just standing up straight and without wobbling is nigh on impossible, let alone driving or playing games.

Problem with dealing with pain completely is that it does affect mobility and functionality...everyone has their own balance depending on a number of factors. Their pain threshold and their willingness to ignore the law concerning drugs. The sad part and the real argument fer the legalization is that unless ye break the law, then yer gonna suffer. The strongest legal meds I can get deal with the pain but the consequences have put me in hospital twice with overdosing. When not in hospital, yer a vegetable who can barely say yer own name coherently.

Thats what legal meds do. I rest my case yer honour and up yours...its the 21st century dammit. Apologies, but Im part of a real life group trying to change the law regarding medicinal use and changing attitudes...its something I get a bit carried away with as its currently the reason why I can live a decent life like a semi normal human being and keep just a little dignity ^

Edit...Im ranting because Im in pain right now...there was a children in need event run here by my old biking m8s to mountain bike in drag...the loop was 12 miles fer the other guys but I was down fer 3 miles. I couldnt finish...didnt even make a single mile and no amount of weed was gonna help this time.

My sincere apologies fer hijacking the thread Karla...but keep fighting and never give in but...we all have our limits. Stay safe and again sorry efer ranting...Ill shut up now ^

It is ridiculous how the law stands on this subject, especially in the UK. It makes people go to the street for their pain relief and yet it is not the THC they need; which is what the street stuff is grown to produce. It is the CBD side of the drug which benefits the sick and in pain and the CBD and CBN part of the drug, which are found in really low amounts in street drugs, because they are grown for the high. Have you tried asking your doctor for Sativex, it is prescribed in the UK sometimes, it does not work for everyone, but is recommended for MS sufferers and doesn't just dope you out.

I am not sure how practical it is, but self-grown weed is generally way better for this than 'supergrown' weed aimed at high THC levels. Not a great choice for stoners, but for medical reasons its a fairly cheap, easy and effective approach. Not sure how laws about this are in the UK, but surely they wont go out of their way to deal with such non-problems regardless of the legal technicalities?

Nah Im good m8...its like I said, I self medicate and deal with the worst as I see fit and not how doctors think I should. Im been a toker fer over 25 years and one makes a great many friends over the years...normal people go to the shady looking hoods outside the clubs on a saturday night, I pick up the phone and have it delivered by taxi if they too busy to do it themselves. They know I would do the same fer them when Im flush and they climbing the walls...been a few nights Ive driven halfway across the country to help guys and gals out who were desperate and desperation attracts the wrong sorta attention.

I take what the doctor gives me and she means well, god bless her cotton socks...but I never stumbled across weed because of my MS...now I merely have an excuse past the part where I honestly just love to chill out with it, so see no reason why I should settle fer second best. Why have cotton when one can have silk?

The growing pharmacutical industry stands to lose a fortune, so it keeps the wheels of politics well greased to keep it illegal, despite dozen of ongoing research papers contradicting their reports they released over the years. Its still illegal here in the uk, although there are ways around the law to lessen the impact if caught.

I think the limit is 4 plants if yer growing yer own where it exceeds growing fer personal use, into the more serious charge of cultivation with intent to supply...thats at least 9 months hard time regardless of personal motivations. Dont quote me on that though...I think thats the limit, but Im no lawyer. If ye can prove to man in the wig that ye do have genuine medical reasons fer cultivation fer personal use, then they might ease off a bit...but they will still punish ye, as its still against the law regardless.

In terms of the police trying to gain the trust of those who are regular users...its a losing battle while they already lost the war 10 years ago...they just behind the times and stuck in the past. Theres no dealing with them...
