I had a dream about other civilizations in elite

I had a dream yesterday about other civilizations in elite.

in my dream, there were about 7 of us on a craft made of wood. each was sitting in a line. we were floating, trying to land on a small island

the island was somewhat aligned with earth.

there was another 'earth-like' planet or civilization, but it was not overlapping earth.

one is weaker than the others.

there was a place that was rectangular and had many closed doors. the doors were in a row, perhaps 4 or 5 in a row. the doors were a bit wider than a door a person might walk through, and the same shape. so it was like a horizontal bar with these doors going across in a row.

the analysis I made of the dream was that a group of people have to work together to make contact with the other civilization. perhaps a large ship such as an anaconda will only have enough fuel to make it part way through the emptiness, and needs to launch a smaller craft such as a sidewinder to complete the journey, and they need to take advantage of drifting.

in my dream, the other earth-like planet was 'transparent'. but I have no idea what they means.

also, they were all in a line. earth, the island in the middle, and the other civilization were in a line.

the only thing I am confused about is as to why the ship that makes the journey was made of wood, and what the 7 people working together means (I am just guessing it was 7), and why it was made of wood, although it might be a noah's ark type of thing.

I day dreamed one time about exploring the deep reaches of space. I was listing to the 'original' Alien theam at the time. I seen a flash of dark tenticles ripping aparts a cargo hatch in a dark room while flashing emergency lights strobed in the background. The scanner finished and I was snapped back to thr reality of bordom.

Let me interpret your dreams.

You're playing Elite too much. :D

PS: I also dreamed about Elite last night, where I was attempting to take down an Asp but it had a Sidewinder bodyguard. We were all flying over a planet and whenever I got into position to shoot at the Asp, I had to leg it fast because the Sidewinder kept catching up on me. Eventually I "won" by letting the Sidewinder pass the Asp while we all circled over the planet, giving me enough time to take it out before the Sidewinder could catch up on me again.

okay how about this. you need a ship with a class 6 frame shift drive, whatever has the longest range, to make the jump to an intermediary star system, and perhaps you need to carry a sidewinder with the highest class frame shift drive, to make the jump to the next star system, to come across the other civilization.

based on another thread I read, I think I figured it out. Some stars can't be used for fuel scooping, so therefor the ultimate barrier is a star that cannot be fuel scooped, whose distance requires the maximum hyperdrive engine fully unladen on both sides to bridge 2 civilizations in the game. so it follows that if the designers want to make it as hard as possible to find a second civilization, it is probably going to require sending an Anaconda and Sidewinder, least amount of mass, full fuel, best hyperdrives, to a star system without fuel scooping, and using the Anaconda for the first half of the journey and the Sidewinder for the second half of the journey.

however, even if the game were set up like that, how would they get back?

The dream, oh mighty Pharaoh, means thus:

Seven deaths shall ye have before finding the right path that unlocks the door to what lays hidden in plain sight. Also, let my people go. :D
