I actually had a fantastic dream that Frontier would add a ship later in Elite's lifecycle.
It'd be the tiniest ship in the game, half the size of the Sidewinder. 2 C2 mounts, one utility mount. That's it. It's an escape pod with guns and wings.
And it'd be maneuverable. Terrifyingly maneuverable. We're talking, like, it moves like a mosquito. Not a high max speed, but amazing, almost unwieldy responsiveness, able to rotate 180 degrees in less than 2 seconds.
I imagine it'd be Thargoid-derived, perhaps, only available in outlying systems neighboring Thargoid regions. And quite expensive, 300k on average or something.
I have no idea what the application of this ship would be. But I had all these details show up in my dream. It was pretty cool.
