no, seriously, i actually had a dream last night. not sure if i was just dreaming of playing elite dangerous or of actually BEING in the elite universe and my ship, but here’s what happened: i was in an asteroid field and knew that a friend of mine was going to join me a bit later, so i decided to surprise him. i switched on silent running and carefully maneouvered inside a large, partly hollow asteroid, parking there with the cockpit facing the (rather small) opening. a few seconds later a small probe came through, scanned me, and then started firing. panicking, i hit full thrusters and swooped past it and out of my hiding place only to be greeted by a couple of ships attacking me (and each other). thinking “hell no” i desperately tried to make a run for it when suddenly a HUGE ship warped in in front of me, with me having to violently pull the joystick around in order not to collide.
then i woke up. wow, what an exciting little adventure –i wonder whether elite dangerous will ever allow things like that!
