This was my first time back in ED for several months. I drop into 2.2 without any prior knowledge of what to expect, especially in combat against NPCs. I had a fun time bounty hunting...in my python. I recognize that the python isn't the best ship for this job, but I don't care. It is tough, agile enough, and packs a fantastic punch for its size. I was able to rack up nearly 500k in bounties while not using all of the ammo in my MCs. I even went one on one against a dangerous FDL, and won. Not saying that it was easy, but it was the appropriate amount of challenge. This fight was why I had to go repair, but it was worth it, and the fight was fun. I think that the NPC combat AI has found a good balance. The higher ranked NPC pilots perform better than the lower ones, but there is no giant spike from one rank to the next.
