I know the game suppose to be as much realistic as possible. Ship controls, gravity etc. an I really like that!

But would it not be wonderful, if you can just switch to another ship of your own, regardless where its parked and you are?

I dont know this would effects much combat or PowerPlay. But thats actualy the reason for my dream.
I would like to explore the large universe but than I cant play all the rest if I am 100 of klys far away from the bubble... a pitty

Do you feel the same?

Here's where someone uses the words 'immersion' and 'breaking'...
Although I'm pretty sure you first need immersion, in order to break it.

Ya, that’s all cool but tbh many ppl have a third buzzword called "RL" and that might be the reason why there are not so many explorer.
It takes so much out of the game to explore couple of weeks. I did 2 weeks by my self already...

PS: The better alternative would be to have many more stations around the universe. But this dream might not become true in my live

PSS: I would even buy a 2nd game to start a new character for that. But I can not even trade Cr. over :/

Why not!

1. It goes against the DDA proposal.
2. It's a simplistic and unrealistic implementation.
3. It'll appeal to the insta-gratification crowd.

I'd say it's a dead cert.

I agree to all of that. But on the other hand, would it not be grateful to explore all this billion stars for couple of months AND still be able to enjoy the rest of the game? I mean there are more than 4 billions and most of the play are only in the bubble.

Maybe even with the rule, that you need min 10kLy far away from the bubble to switch the ship/pos.

A moderator once told that there was no gravity in this game - just your engine reacts to objects. Which sounded to me like yes it was the engine slowing but it must have picked up on some gravity field.

Two things would fix that IMHO - multiple character slots and the implementation of the idea of ferrying ships, resurrected from the DDA.

The devs have comments on this, and as far as I'm aware, the plan is to allow you to eventually order your ship transferred to a new station for a fee.

I like this idea better, your mileage may vary.

Sounds pretty good. That they work on it and this option would also be fine for me. Even if it will cost Cr.

Beat me to it. If FD did the decent thing and implemented multiple character slots we wouldn't have this subject popping up at frequent intervals. Or, if they're definitely not going to implement them, at least have the courtesy to admit it. Personally I think multiple character slots have gone the way of the dodo, especially now that people are buying second and third accounts to compensate. I imagine it's quite hard to slaughter a cash cow regardless of what was discussed in the DDA. I hope I'm wrong, but a pessimist is rarely disappointed.
