Elite / Frontier I have a dream...

Some day I will be sitting in the cinema and be waiting for - perhaps "Pirates of the Carribean 7".
And then it happens:
Black screen.
Music starts.
Johann Strauss: "An der schönen blauen Donau".
The camera moves down - like in Star Wars.
I see about 5.000 spaceships moving around a beautiful planet.
A zoom to one of the wonderful ships: View from inside.
Then the docking to a spacestation.
Then a break.
New scene: a spectacular space fight.
Break.
Down on a wonderful planet - the view of a beautiful ocean.
Break.
Inside a space station-bar: About 200 different alien characters moving around.
Break.
Running in a tunnel system like a ego-shooter game.
Break.
Kissing a beautiful girl inside a space station - the solar system can be seen in the background thru a window.
Break.

Some words do appear on the screen:

Frontier: Elite 4.
The game the world was waiting for.
Finally out.

Ah the subtlety, the finesse, the pointless post - LOL

We all share this dream but to be fair David and Frontier have done nothing to give us any misconception as to when it is going to be out. There is enough out there to keep me entertained for a little while longer - Quake Wars Enemy Territory is out soonish - that should be some fun.

Besides I have to slowly ween my girl into accepting longer periods of game playing before E4 comes out :D

Well Grand Theft Auto IV, not to mention the rest of my collection, should keep me going for a while longer. GTA IV is kind of like Elite-in-a-City anyway, however the Outsider looks like something I would be happy to invest a significant portion of gaming time :).
