Horizons I have a dumb trip computer... it only takes me to places i CANT scoop fuel.

I think it would be enough to add checkpoints to the route planner. You could just add KGBFOAM systems to your current route. That way it would still be "challenging" / requiere your "navigation skills". Checkpoints + rountrips would help traders as well.
Yeah! Adding checkpoints is what we need. I thought this too several times. This is a new topic for the https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=76 Suggestion & Feedback forum area...

o7 Cmdrs. So if I apply KGBFOAM filter to my route I can still drop out at a Y star or some other unscoopable star ? It happens me sometimes...is this a bug or is it not meant to be 100% true ? Fly safe.

Recent intel suggests the route plotter was designed by the Fuel Rats Dispatch Committee, as part of Operation: Busywork.

No, the filter works. This thread is from 2016, before route filtering was introduced.

What's your jump range. If it's particularly short it can route you through systems outside of your filter just to keep a route going. Also sometimes the main star has the lower mass of a multi-star system and you end up at the highest mass star. Can lead to surprise white dwarves.

Also, Jesus Christ, how horrifying, this thread doesn't have a shred of meat left, even the bones have started to rot.

Hi. It's 65Ly jump range.... ASP Explorer. I think I read somewhere this filter isn't supposed to be 100% consistent. I'm just seeking clarification because it could really mess up an explorers journey. I use a 3C fuel tank...8 tonne capacity.

You should still get notified when you reach your last scoopable star before running out of fuel.

You'd of been better of raising this as a new issue.

This thread is 3 years old and was created before we had the ability to plot a route via specific stars :)

Sometimes the most direct route can't string together enough KGB FOAM stars and the odd duck is added into the route. Perfectly normal. Anything more than one, maybe two, non-scrollable stars is not normal behavior.
Thanks Cmdr. That's what I was thinking. I just needed to know for peace of mind. So I'm prepared for it you know. Then I could manually plot for a few hundred Ly. Thing is 1 jump nearly depletes my 3C fuel tank so I'll have to be vigilant.

If you're not a confident explorer then .. put the larger fuel tank back in until you learn. And switch to a decent explorer like a DBX where you can get a better range ;)
