So this kinda doesnt relate to being a new player and its more about the update but I am new so I thought Id post it here. Ok heres my question.

I've een doing a little exploration lately and I saw that there are the new "first discovered by" things that were added this patch. I was wondering, does this count all the way back in testing too or just after the release?

I believe it includes everything since gamma release.

There have been reports that there are some curious errors in the data. I've not seen any myself.

I was wondering because I entered a lot of systems where nothing waws explored and there would be a first discovered b thing so I guessed it was before release when exploration was reset.

I have access to a very large dump of exploration discovered by data up until yesterday. As of update 1.1 you will be notified when you sell exploration data that you are marked as the discover of. For those explorers before the update there's no such information but I can look it up for you.
