I have commited a sin.

This is a confession of a sinner.

Against my good will, solemn vows and better judgement I have done it. Bit of perspective - exactly month ago I have completed building my new PC. Exchanged motherboard, got new CPU and cooling tower, bought new RAM and installed better GFX card. Even SSD got improved to m.2. Old OS SSD went into storage and only really old piece was year old sound card. Even got new display. With fresh hardware I made fresh OS install. Having brand new rig and OS I installed Elite anew. Since I was away from home I only took my 3D Pro instead of full hotas. As a performance trial I took my Anaconda and ventured toward VY Canis Majoris.

Arrived at my destination, indeed quite big star but nothing thrilling. Since winter holidays were at its fullest I left ED and haven't played since. One of reasons was that I had other pleasures.

During that holiday I have wathed The Witcher on Netflix. I was really interested in this production. My first touch with Sapkowski was almost 30 years ago when I got comic book based on "The Last Wish" and other stories. Later on I read Stories about Witcher, then whole saga. Twice. I'm well familiar with the Witcher. When CDProject released their Witcher 1 game I bought collectors edition. Apart from the game itself I have very nice artbook, soundtrack, cards and real metal full model medallion.

I am also watching funny anime on CrunchyRoll - That time I got reincarnated as a Slime. Good, light show. Japan office worker got stabbed to death and his mind is transferred to the other world and reincarnated as a lowly monster - mere slime. In addition he gains some awesome powers and start to discover new world and magic. Rest would be massive spoiler but if you want some good laugh - try it.

Due to work and other things I don't have much time for books - trying to finish one series. Won't give author and title as it's local thing and I bet you can't get it anyway so no reason to tease and bother you with details.

As you may be aware, WoW got new patch recently and I managed to unlock legendary cloak ontwo of my characters. Not playing much on high level as I made a bunch of new characters, last one was freshly added Vulpera. With that alt i now have all classes covered on both Alliance and Horde. Finished my rep grind and unlock so I can finally focus on new characters.

Apart from that, stemming from Netflix, I'm finishing another Witcher 2 playthrough and when I finish I will play Witcher 3. Along while re-watching whole series for the second time - now focusing more on details.

And still not connected and configured X52Pro. Until yesterday. Hooked up hotas, installed drivers and spent next half an hour creating new binds. Wise me for not backuping those. Oh well, I already managed to forgot old ones so no big deal. Multiple option ventures and I'm almost all set - can't find mouse look toggle for cockpit admiring.

PC set and warmed up, controls set and checked in tutorial mode. Instead of continuing my journey through the void I decided to come back to the Bubble. Sub 2k Lys trip, 65LYs jump capable Anaconda, took about 1.5 hrs as I stopped by and took few scans (whole trip gave me bit over 16M... not good, not bad either). As I landed and sold data IT happened. I have sinned.

I bought an Orca...

I bought an Orca...
You will be orcay.

Twist is two fold:
  • I intend it to use it as a luxury passenger carrier and I HATE passenger missions for their whiny nature
  • I don't even like Saud Kruger design philosophy...

Choosing between Beluga, Orca and Dolphin I chose Orca as a lesser evil.

Hmm....

This... this is were it starts, the Orca is the thin end of the wedge, next you will own a fleet of different coloured Belugas, and Dolphins all with luxury cabins fitted and have a notebook full of locations to find consumer goods, and liquor to keep your valued customers happy.

Shame @Shiro Akai you have brought shame to this house. -sounds of ancestors turning in their graves

My Main is Sometimes Smuggler, and I have only two rules, no slaves, and no nerve agents. So one time, I took a Luxury Class sightseer out in a dolphin bought specially for the gig. How bad can it be I thought I'll get expo data and get paid to do it... Wrong Wrong Wrong, 5 mins in old Whiney Whingerton started up, detour to here for x detour here for y, oh I changed my mind about the place we are 3/4 of the way to and now want to go to "equally remote system" .

I was very tempted to break my no slaves rule that trip, if pirates, or even cannibals had offered 10 CR I would have sold his ar$3, first and last time, at least biowaste shuts up the whole way there.

This... this is were it starts,

IKR.

I once, and I believe it was over than 2 years ago, performed passenger missions. Back then I was green and fresh and didn't know what I am up to. Money... all that was for the money. After 3rd cruise and all the nerves because cargo turned criminal, secretive and demanding (you're a fugitive, you have no right to be picky!) I decided - no more. Along with that went embargo to SD ships as they are primarily passenger ships so if no passenger missions so why having a ship for that.

And now, here I am, owning Orca. Bad CMDR, bad. How low have I fallen.
Pray for me...

<sobs>

Jeez... After all that, I thought you were going to say you updated your rig and backed Star Citizen.

Years ago I joined SC forums. No ship on me, another non-pledger. Few weeks later some guy created give away contest. Participated and lo and behold, for the first time I actually won something. Now I have a ship pack, hangar and some character goodies. Does this count?

But! Enough with side stories, we're talking about heresy here. Orca! Passenger one!
Sacrilege.

While the terrible stigma of its passenger hauling past does hang over the Orca the fact is since the transformation you can fit proper modules everywhere and it is now the extremely fast and manoeuvrable joy to fly it should always have been.

Just remember when smuggling not to boost too close to the slot otherwise you will be spending a lot of time digging yourself out of an Orca shaped hole in the back of the station.

Orcas, Belugas and Dolphins, they're soo cute!

I hate the sight of them, if I was on the dark side, I would blow them up, every, single, one.
