Not because I don't like them, but I hold no value to it. I am a simple person, and building a big zoo is not relaxed. I now have a tiny zoo with some reindeer and dall sheep. Live is much easier. No more escaping animals and hardily any crime. Some good music on the background, a cup of coffee and sometimes my wife takes over, since she can't play it on her stone age abacus (What she calls a computer. That was what the salesman told her) anyway :LOL:

Keep it small and simple, and you'll be a happy man/woman :)
So, this is not a corrupt save, I did this myself ;-) I will eventually expand again, but not so fast anymore.

I know what you mean. I'm not a fan of overcrowded zoos that try to get as many animals in as fast as possible either. I like to challenge myself to make a zoo that has way more than enough space for every animal in a natural setting designed in a way that gets the guests moving throughout evenly. I'm working on a huge project now but while I'm building the only thing available to the public is 8 exhibits and 3 habitats for elephants, lions, and giraffes. I took my time with it and now it's 5-star and profitable. I'm in sandbox with unlimited money but I don't have the other things turned off anymore - animal welfare, guest happiness, etc. I like that I don't have a bunch of problems to deal with every time I turn around, I can concentrate on planning out the rest of my sanctuary and open a bit at a time as I'm ready. I love taking my time with every individual area but also keeping the big plan in mind. I slowed down the animal aging 5 times too, mostly so that I have more time with the babies :) This is much more fun for me too.

I have a huge hippo bay all done and I'm working on crocodile alley but it won't be open to the guests until I get more done because the only way to get there is the boat ride. I really hope it works out and people take the boat. That's as much stress as I want in my gaming. I have a job for that, when I'm playing games I want to have fun!

There is no right or wrong way to play the game, it is about finding one that works for you and I am pleased that it sounds like you have. The zoo pictured looks very nice. I have one Zoo since launch and am probably up to about 12 different animals now so not rushing at all and just enjoying the pace. I will get a lot or life out the game as well this way as many animals to go through.

I tried to wipe the zoo in the game itself, but I noticed that guests keep their memories of how it was before. I could charge them entree fee like if I had 10 habitats while I only had one. Also I had way to many guests for just one habitat. It made them very unhappy. Wiping the saved game is a complete clean restart with still all your animals moved to the trade storage.

The guests I have now have no memories of how it was before, and are now a clean slate. My storage is kinda full, so I can't buy the polar bear any time soon, but that is just a minor inconvenience.

Exactly! Seeing a new animal for the first time is special. I want to stretch that out. The replay value on this game is through the roof. I know I'll be playing it every day all winter at least. It only gets better as more bugs get squashed and more content gets added. I'd happily pay $10 a month for DLC for the foreseeable future as long as the quality remains high.

For the past two days I have left my franchise and have moved to sandbox to make a zoo/sanctuary in the tundra biome with the new DLC animals. So far I only have 2 grizzly bears and they are not even from the DLC. :p I want to make a small-ish zoo with only a few coffee shops (no food/souvenirs stands) with a bit of a christmas theme and that's it. I have turned of guests' needs and I really wanna focus on the animals and make habitats natural looking as possible. Lots of rock work, trees, water areas and of course null fencing. :)
