I have finally killed a Basilisk :)

After a LOT of practicing techniques the AX community kindly share through videos and knowledgebases I have finally killed my first Basilisk :)

What seemed impossible a few weeks ago, learning FA/OFF, synthesizing on the fly, staying cold through an engagment, are now in my grasp!

I'd very much like to thank those in the AX community who take the time to share their skills :)

Haha it was the same for me! Alot of failed attempts. Against Cyclops we were just building ships that could tank the damage but we quickly learned that was not going to work against Basilisks. Thankfully the AX community puts out a lot of tutorials and guidance. It was still a really tough fight using the FA OFF techniques!

Haha, maybe the thargons ARE the children. Although that probably makes these battles conceptually much much worse 😂😂

AX combat is my stretch goal for later this year, going to do a full AX build on a ship and work on ranking combat...

I don't even know what one of them is much less kill it or them. I'm in guardian space atm and that's scarey enough. Thargoids urrghh run away I say!!! Boost chaff leg it!!

My first encounter was like that! An interceptor jumped in on us while we were investigating a megaship in Deciat. "what the heck is that!" we cried as it's shut down field imobilized us. needless to say we swiftly ran away lol. but it piqued our interest and made us want to investigate further :)

My husband has been experimenting with Shard cannons. I might have to try them out myself too :)

I've just unlocked enzyme missiles for my vette. Combined with horrendously over charged all beams yay! Solo cz is my coffee. War is afoot! I can't say much suffice to say it's fab.
And l do intend to build a thargoid wacker. Once the dusts settled: )

nice one, for the time being i'm content to sharding the basic interceptors to death to get my cockpit mini fan :)
still a long-term goal to pursuit, them basilisks

I found that engineering my drices to G5 dirty got me just above the Basilisk speed in my Krait II. I still had to maneuver around a lot as it would catch up when I was in reverski. I don't know much about the clipper really, is it a fast ship?
