Newcomer / Intro I have never played a game like this but was interested

If someone could explain this game to i would greatly appreciate i played Eve for years but it appears this is very very different and i was interested in getting it but only if i can run it well and if i can get it explained to me lol.

This game is indeed very different from EVE. Forget everything you know or expect. The only similarity in gameplay terms is that both take place in space.

EVE = executive control
Elite = first person and always will be.

The economy is simulated. NPC trade keeps it ticking over. Players can make a difference to the economy, but in terms of populated space will never dominate it completely.

Just forget EVE and you'll be great. You may not enjoy the game, but from the multitude of threads I've seen since release where players basically complain that the game isn't EVE, I suggest that unrealistic expectations from that portion of the player base is a significant issue for them. It's not EVE.

The best suggestion I can give you is to go on Twitch and, if you have the time, watch some players streaming the game. That's what I did before buying it (back in beta) and I believe it helps a lot with the decision. It will show you what the game is about, how it is paced, and generally what the feeling will be when playing it.

Different Twitch streamers tend to focus on different things at one time, so you may want to change between them from time to time to get a glimpse of different playstyles.
