My assets are at 1.425 Billion Credits.
600 Million credits were earned by turning in a combination of bounties and doing A to B to A trading runs.

I'm still pootling around in an unengineered Asp since release, got a few millions off the recent exploration CG - haven't ranked up much or aligned with anyone.

That's how I like my Elite.

Hmm, I got into ED about 2 months after it released on Steam, not sure when that happened or what version it was, played for a few months off and on before my interest dwindled. I put it up for most of the rest of the year, then my interest was reignited by the release of Horizons. Since then this game has taken over my gaming life, and I've earned around 1.5 bil with about half that tied up in ships & modules, the rest in liquidity.

With that said, I've really not focused on building wealth in this game, as I've got more game time tied up in joining the DWE than any other activity. Spoiler alert: that didn't pay very well:)

Kickstarter backer, took a long break, came back a month ago. I enjoy the game. Why care if I have more or less money than anyone else as long as I have my share of enjoyment?

I've only been playing a few months now.
After the upward struggle in Sidewinder, Cobra etc I reached my first million.. then accidently erased my profile !! arrggh.
I'm now in a Vulture with no engineering, have done 2 community goals, 10mil and 17mil and sit at 50mil.
I enjoy the daily grind as I feel that's what the fun is about and in 3302 I imagine an old crusty bounty hunter like myself would make a living like that too.
We'll see what the future brings but for now I'm happy to tinker with modules, a few missions, a few bounty hunts, rank up where I can and soak up in the immersion.

This. Humans apparently can't help but sound like an idiot by squealing "but it's not fair" every other week in elite.

People realise eventually that credits are simply an enabler. Nothing more. Game is more than credits. Always has been.

I am not sure we haven't all been duped here into discussing nothing to discuss. Well my excuse is that at 06:23 on a wet UK Sat morning, whilst jumping to Palin, i am rather bored.....what's everyone else's excuse?

Played at release. Took a long break due to mind numbing boredom 7000ly from SOL around 3 months into the game. Started back up a week before Horizons with about 250mil in assets. Now sitting at 2.7 billion and working on rep for that Vette. Attacking cops at stations to see how many I can kill before I go down is one of my favorite things to do. Costly gameplay activities like that, and the fact that watching the credit balance go up makes me happy, is how I justify how much I play this silly game.

I've been playing most nights since just before Power play hit I think. Just bought my first Python recently. Got my Sol permit a couple of weeks ago too. Not been yet but I'm thinking about it.

I couldn't quite tell you why I'm so slow but I know ive been keeping busy.

I have ZERO insurance claims and ZERO 'deaths'.

We don't all have the same goals going in playing Elite. Comparing any measure of "success" in the game between any two players is therefore without merit. For me I could have 200 billion credits that would be completely meaningless if I'd ever once been sent to the insurance rebuy screen before reaching the rank of "Elite".

hmmmm..I have been playing since the release of Doom... and have spent a bucket of real money since and am now asset poor but game worldly.. is there a point to this thread?
