I have to scan the NAV Bec. to get my "Planet Scan" missions?

Last night I took a couple of the normal "Scan the outpost or building and return for your reward" type missions, however I couldn't find these missions locations using my FSS scanner (in FSS mode) or my D-Scanner (in scan mode).

It was only when I visited and scanned the NAV Bec. did the location of the planet or moon that I had to go to turn up.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a new thing?
I didn't notice it in Beta but I'm pretty sure I didn't do any of these missions in beta anyway.

I believe you can locate them using the FSS - They should show up as a mission objective when you zoom in on the correct planet. Same as a mission USS will be identified as such once you zoom in on it.

That said, it might be just as quick to simply drop out at the nav beacon, since to find it using the FSS you would need to work through the planets, might be the first, might be the last. I don't believe there's any way to pinpoint which planet to zoom in on without zooming in on it.

Have you tried scanning the nav beacon from super cruise using the honker? I'd swear I did that on accident recently (didn't know I had it selected), and it may have been in the beta, but I got a mission location update. I've been concentrating on engineering since, but I've been meaning to try that out again whenever I try another mission.

Nope, good shout, I'll try that next time.
