I havent found the danger in Elite: Dangerous...

Depends what you mean by dangerous as well. The Pleiades Cluster is only around 250Ly from the nearest settled system, some have gone much further, and out there anything can happen and you have no real safety net. Make a mistake fuel scooping, or get attacked by a trigger happy Expert pilot or 2 and you're in real trouble. Sure you can lose your ship and then start back easily at the last station you docked at, but then you lose all the exploration data and progress you've made out there. If you don't necessarily want that to happen then you can just play Ironman mode on release ;)

Depends on how good and comfortable with the controls the pilot is, it's easy to die anywhere as you could come up against an expert/dangerous Eagle pilot and you'd stand no chance in a stock sidey.
It's pretty easy to kill npc ships whatever the type. the AI is unable to adapt quickly enough to be any threat.

AI are hopeless, hopefully this will get better. Shields have never been stronger, I used to die if I crashed, now I bounce :) Maybe they are trying to find the perfect balance.

Its not hard and its never been hard but I think we have had complaint after complaint about off putting difficulty levels its just become safety net after safety net now. We got insurance coming out of our eye balls, loans cos we were too stupid to save up for insurance in the mad dash to grind. I'm sure I saw cargo insurance too. I'm not sure, its too hard to die to check :). I used to blow up for accidentally overheating sometimes, I can barely do it on purpose now. They have removed all consequence of death even if you do manage to somehow blow yourself up. And you still hear people wanting more help added, complaints of dieing. Interdictions only once per 2nd friday, a rule against being shot at unless you shoot first or say its ok.

People wont be happy until they are indestructible and have enough tools added they can watch countryfile while it plays by itself :)
Interdictions are a pain because they tend to dump you right out of the game and you are forced to try to log in again.

This kind of stuff. Nerf padding on everything. This global society lets all the dumb ones through that would otherwise bite it, you know. Too many stragglers in our herd and not enough predators. To many that the rest of us carry because "gotta be fair".

Bull, and thus all our products get watered down, sanitized and sanded smooth for bubble boy over there.

The problem is that the universe if fairly uniform even between anarchy and governed systems. There needs to be dangerous places you can go that are pirate heavens which you engage a great deal of ships by yourself if you so choose to go alone.

I'm thinking something other than interdictions. There needs to be some other game mechanic like pirate bases where you fight off hordes. Not something that you find from traveling from point A to B, but something you have to seek out.

Yeah, you can ignore the government status currently because I dont think its balanced or implemented properly. When you enter an anarchy system on the original you knew about. Its no different to Sol on this.

But if anything they are going to tone interdictions down not make them more common.

Hopefully its just a balance thing, they dont listen to people who just want peaceful grinding and do the right thing for the game.

God no!
Environment autoleveling is the greatest immersion breaker imo.

I understand the reasoning so as not to alienate players, but I have to agree with JoseEk, here.

This would be good.

This isn't being said enough.

Countryfile is far too dangerous to be watchable for the fluffy pink slippers brigade, at any moment someone could step in a steaming pile of .... !

[edit: ps - Just encountered NPC Siila Stargazer, willingly submitted to her interdiction for a little scrap as I held no cargo, dropped out, started to deploy KWS - Kaboom! 3 seconds and I was looking at the insurance screen. Keep the faith all, I am confident there are challenges for all out there the vastness of Deep Space :)]

Agree with you, each wave of newcomers we see posts like "game too hard" or "can't make money" or "why so tedious/serious". For the long term players i should advice you to become.... a real pirate, no bounty clearing, cops killing, honest trader stealing. I did that day one and i think it's rewarding

Hmmm.....

Serious, will there be any in the future, is there any I havent found yet ?

This game ( which I really enjoy so far ) has currently so many safety nets that I struggle to see the Danger apart from trying to navigate with the ingame map and not useing external tools :D

"Dangerous" is referring to the player rating, not the game difficulty level.

I mean, you ain't exactly "Elite" when playing the game either, lol :p

actually, what would be nice is if your rank influenced the encounters you have by a small margin. so if your harmless you will rarely have elite's after you, but if your elite, your gonna have those who are dangerous/elite after you :)
That could work nice in Solo. In Open if an Elite is after you and you dock then what ? The NPC will also dock ? Camp the station waiting for you to leave ? Or attack the new player that happens to be in the same system ? There is no easy answer here if you want a persistent galaxy.

Well, honestly, I don't want to be in perpetual danger unless I'm foolish or reckless. If I'm foolishly buzzing around in a hauler with no shields, I'd better expect to suffer if I'm too drunk while playing to manage the interdiction minigame. If I'm in a kitted out Cobra doing some exploring, I don't want to feel that danger any longer, and shouldn't unless the interdictor is a Deadly Anaconda, then I will run like hell and hope I make it out.
