I think folks are overstating any issues they are having with these missions. Either that or they are stacking them so high and deep in their ships that the entire galaxy is out looking for them and in that case they are attracting WAY too much attention and getting what they deserve in that respect.
Exactly. But if someone fails they'll inevitably claim it is 'impossible', no matter how many people succeed left and right of them. Even in this very topic there are people claiming things are impossible that I, and with me many others, routinely perform. Luckily FD relies more on telemetry than the forums, so they can easily see whether or not things truly are impossible or not. Remember that with +-1m sold copies there will be people who completely fail at everything no matter how easy you make the game, just as there will always be people complaining its too easy no matter how difficult it is.
As always: ignore the whining on the boards and just try it yourself. 9/10 cases its just a load of from people who cant take responsibility for their own failings. Not even in a computer game...

Q : I got ambushed at an Outpost, so I targeted security vessel and deployed hardpoints and broke his scan. I then tried to go and land but less than a minute later he started another scan and though I still had him targeted , he got me !!
What should I have done to break his 2nd scan ? (answers if you know, no guesses please

)
1) You'll be informed of him chasing you in SC, so keep an eye on comms.
2) Look at your radar: are you close to a celestial body? If yes, slam the sucker into it. AI pilots are terrible at avoiding planets during (trying to initiate the) interdiction, as are most cmdrs. Just fly around the planet and try to keep distance.
3) If that fails make a choice: deal with him before dropping out at the station, or after but before entering the NF-zone.
4) If he former: let him interdict you and attack him. Dont kill him, the bounty will be for a week. Just shooting him a bit will give a tiny bounty. Jump back to SC, most cops are reluctant to chase if you just shot them.

5) If the latter, stop your ship when dropping out of SC and repeat the above. Make sure you stay out of range of the station. If needed, jump back and out of SC if you

the station off.
Just deplying HP might break scans, but its a feeble and weak way to deal with it. Hitting the target will prevent him from scanning 100% of the time. Finally, make sure no other cops join the fight, if they do shoot them immediately or they'll happily scan you!
