No doubt by now you will of heard of the earthquake in Central Italy, NE of Rome.

At the moment news is sketchy, but it is clear there are deaths, injuries and people buried.

I hope it is not too bad.

It seems that the situation is dramatic. The shocks were felt to Rome at 170 kilometers of the epicenter

We have Italian relatives, luckily further north, but the news did wake me up suddenly until I knew where it was. My thoughts go to everyone effected.

Situation is very dramatic, earthquake devasted a lot of small towns like Amatrice (famous for his Spaghetti all'Amatriciana), at the time i'm writing we have 38 dead, level of destruction is very high
