I hyperspaced into a system inbetween two close stars. help.

This and black holes are the exact reason why I always bring a heat sink launcher when I go out exploring now.

It was two F class star binarys (white main sequence) I actually jumped into one of the stars area of effect and was wedged right in between the stars (they were very very close)

As someone suggested, Not even heat sinks would save me, I would have died even in supercruise whilst trying to escape, I was that close to the sun, Btw, if we were able to use heat sinks in supercruise, then no problem.

What grade is your generator. Guessing it's less than A grade.

I wonder about that "usually". Isn't it a 100% safe rule that damage only happens starting at 150%? That's what it's been in my experience, anyway. 147%? No problem whatsoever. 150%? Damage starts.

This is correct. 150% is where damage starts.

Actually, my experience is that it's correct for all ships other than the Type 7

The Type 7 starts taking hull damage earlier - about 135%
