I have just bought beta 3 and I can safely say that I have played a lot of space games, but this is the only time I have ever felt that I am sitting in the cockpit of a actual spacecraft, really fantastic. :D

I have a couple of questions that hopefully you guys can answer for me.

1 - I have been messing around with a sidewinder joystick and mouse combo, have you any tips on setting up controls?

2 - I have watched a few lets-play vids on ED and the graphics always looked smooth, but my game seems to have no AA at all, and there seems to be no option for it. Am I missing something?

Hmm mouse and joystick can be pretty hard here and dont know if that is a good option. Maybe try out keyboard and joystick? And yes the quality section of the graphics has all options.

yes, ED already is great, i just hope they will put as much thought in missions, reputations, exploration, combat later on, but the base is great!

Thanks for the help and the welcomes. ;)
I have most things under control now. It took me a while to discover I had to config my joystick as 'analog' before it would work properly, but all is good now.

This is the space sim I have been dreaming of, there is no doubt about that.
I was worried I might be wasting my money by buying this beta, but now if feels more than worth it.

Ha! I have just noticed that your pilots hands mimic your own on the controls. How frigging awesome is that?
