There I was using my recently bought Type 6 http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=60W,,2-5U726a3w5U3w5A,08c08c07205U05U02M02M. And I had finally found a reliable 200K round trip route of less than 20ly apart and was thinking a few good runs and ill be able to upgrade again maybe even get a an ASP and go exploring again.
Then my day of bad luck started first I undocked and as I aligned with my Jump out point I forgot the Station has one of those Poles which rotate around its axis and bang I hit it and as I run with no Shields I exploded right out side the station, thought to myself no big deal I was on my cheap leg so I only lost 75K half of which was insurance cost to replace ship and as I had nearly 2mil it wasn't much of a hit.
So I jump to my next station and fill up with 100 tonnes Paladium and undock and do the boost away and align I then press what I think is jump and the countdown begins as this happens I hear what I think is shooting behind me and I see this red glow around my cockpit, but its not until I land in next system I realise what had really happened.
Some how I had pressed the "jettison all" cargo button and 1.5mil of cargo is now sitting outside a station in a system I have just jumped out from so instead of having over 2mil I now have less than 600K left in cash
not even enough to fill my cargo. I tried jumping back but I probably ended up in a new instance so my cargo was now gone !!!!
So what now well I could have rage quit but tbh I just laughed walked away for 10 minutes and spent the next hour making up the lost credits using my trade route.
moral of story check which button is mapped to "jettison all", something I hadn't done as I use a Warthog Hotas and only mapped the keys I use.
I just wish there was a "are you sure" confirmation message when you press the key just for those moments
