I just want to say, for the record...

...that I did not just combat log.

Was playing for a few hours in a combat zone, having huge fun blasting Anaconda's and such in my clipper, when my venerable 5 year old laptop hit its thermal cut-out and shut down in an instant.

Whatever tracking systems are checking us players out - this wasn't intentional, my shields were well up, no hull damage, nothing threatening me, nor any thing except NPCs in the CZ with me.

This is good justification to my wife for me to spend some money on a new 'puter.

Cup of tea later to let it steam off a bit, I'm going back in...

Oh I wouldn't worry about it. So far nothing has really been done about the issue and a single accidental incident isn't going to put your account in any danger.

Get yourself down to poundland (other cheap rubbish shops are available) and buy a laptop cooler fan stand thingy.

I wouldn't be concerned about it. No one has reported any bans due to combat logging that I've seen, so don't be too worried :)

A one off situation like this is very unlikely to trigger any anti combat logging system Frontier have in place today or put in place the future. It will only be repeat offenders that will hopefully targeted by frontier.

I think you'd be in trouble if there were a record of you doing this repeatedly. A one off disconnect should not be of concern.

Ha! a likely story!

You are condemned to spending your remaining time in ED flying a lifter with no space for a FSD... ....and you get moved to Hutton Orbital

;)
