I just wanted to say how much I love this game-!!

I know, I'm not really adding anything to the discussion really, but I just want to express how much this game amazes and inspires me!

I've only played the early access build, but seeing what I can make (And what the community builds - Silvarret is godlike holy crap) is absolutely stunning. I can't even remember the last time I could literally feel the enthusiasm and heart the company has poured into a game... Just the animations alone are enough to floor me, let alone the fantastic art and technical design! I'm running out of positive adjectives already...

And to come to the forums thinking "Oh wouldn't it be cool if they included X?" and already seeing people not only have made threads about it, but the developers of the game itself are nodding their heads and considering them!! I thought I had some ideas to include but boy was I wrong! The fans are so wonderfully creative here!

I quickly skimmed some of the interviews, and to hear that these guys want to make the best game in the genre makes me regret I didn't give them more money. I'm 100% certain I'll fix this problem buying expansions and DLC in the future though! I just love everything about this game, and it's been the best distraction to just build coasters and show them off to family and friends.

And can I just quickly say, how ridiculously good the sound design and music for this game are? I have the Pirate Band song stuck in my head all day and I can't even be mad about it. The clicks and hisses and soft rolling noises of the coasters are... just fantastic. I have a awful knack for picking up public domain sound clips in movies, films and games, so to hear (from what I can tell) absolutely nothing recycled....I don't know how you're doing it. Also, the smooth tool is a godsend for awful coaster builders like me... thank you for adding that.

I'm sorry if this reads like frothing fan's rant, but I honestly love this game and the people who are making it beyond words... and I wanted to somehow let them know that I'm so amazed and thankful for all their hard work.

I'm going to put some of my excitement in a spoiler here, since this whole thing is already a TLDR...
  • First off, the animations??? They're so amazing, each mascot has a unique walk or bounce or strut that just brings me endless joy... and to see that they're going to add even more, like moods and tripping and stuff? I can't even... I'm completely overwhelmed, but at this point I'm Augustus Gloop at the chocolate river, and I have every intention of drinking it dry.

  • The Art. It... I just... it's gorgeous. The pictures for each ride on the signs... and the signs themselves!! When I saw how many different Chief Beef posters, statues and signs I could put, I just spent like half an hour posting them on a blank building just delighting in the millions of ways I could combine them. I was completely ready to have two art pieces for each shop just sort of rotated and scaled up or down... text placed on the top or bottom, sometimes the side... or even just 2 posters with each artwork on them.... but to see custom little menu boards, neon signs, props and even mascots walking around? Insane. The team must have put so much work into it all..

  • I'll be the first to admit, molding the terrain took me a while to wrap my head around, but now that I have a better idea of how it works? I'm way too excited. The sky is literally the limit, and it's set so high I've never so much as brushed it. I'm going to make a treasure cove underground for my coaster and no one can stop me. Can I also say, I was making a cave, and painting it the rock texture, only to have the lighting realistically highlight and shadow the walls? I couldn't honestly believe it at first.

  • The crowd pathing - it's not finished, and it's something I don't even want to know how complicated it must be. But the first time I sunk a milkshake sign into the ground to lead up to my milkshake shop, and then seeing the customers easily walk on and off it was beyond great. Putting obstacles in the middle of the path, just to see them easily weave out of the way, gives me joy. Love how they move in groups like real guests. And the fact that we'll have troublemakers in the future? Personalities and dynamics? Help me find another word to praise you guys with, I'm seriously running low...

  • The fan support. The fact that you guys are listening so well to the fans (some of which who can be... a little overzealous from time to time) is amazing. That's the reason I'm writing all this out, I really want everyone to stop and look at how great this game already is, and how talented the minds behind it are. No one's saying it's perfect, but... god it is just so good-!!

  • I'm gonna be a broken record and praise the animations again. Sorry, I'm a huge animation fan, and I suck at it enough to realize how insanely hard it is to actually get good at it. I watched the trailer probably about 20 times. I zoom in all the time just to watch the mascots strut their stuff. Every little teaser just... the animation... the joyful bounce everything has... the attention to natural and fluid movements... the characterization put into the people... and the humor, it's all so inspiring. Honestly I would die and go straight to heaven if they released DLC with even more animations.

  • The coasters themselves. I just love... everything about them. I'm awful at making them, but I'll be damned if I'm not sinking endless hours into my caster ride for grannies! Honestly I ride every coaster like 30 times and each time I just feel giddy and ready to make it even better. I spent the whole day today just watching POV videos of rollercoasters because I can't stop thinking about this game, even when I'm away from it. I haven't felt this giddy since waiting for Zoo Tycoon, Theme Hospital, Majesty or even RollerCoaster Tycoon to boot up on my mom's computer.

  • So many more things. I can't think of them all, but just... everything about this game you guys....

The only criticism I can put forth is concern over how much detail you guys are putting into this thing. Are you okay? Do your families remember your names, or are you just a fond photograph on the wall at this point? Do your bookkeepers know how many resources you're pouring into this thing, or are you cleverly distracting them with free copies to your game?

The only thing I might seriously ask for is a polling system in the threads, just to give the people who quietly linger at the sidelines a chance to throw their two cents in. I know I'm usually that person... making a thread is a little intimidating fresh off making an account... haha... I guess that's why I've nervously stuffed this opening post with a billion paragraphs... whoops...
