I killed three pirates. where's my money??

I got interdicted by a wing, one Asp and two Eagles. They were all "wanted", they all attacked me. I killed the Asp first then the Eagles were easy kills. But I didn't get any bounties out of it? I was in a mission to deliver Performance Enhancers, but that shouldn't matter should it?

Log it with support bud, sounds like its worth investigating.

If its an Anarchy system do they still show as "wanted".
I went to the station, no bounties, nothing in the transaction tab or contacts.
Wierd. They were after my cargo so I presumed pirates.

Hi Macy, if you destroyed them in an Anarchy or empty system you wouldn't get any bounties out of them unless you KWS'd them first. Without a KWS scan the bounties default to only those issued by the system the target is in - and since Anarchies and empty systems have no laws or issuers there's no payouts. As for the Wanted status, any ship which attacks you is automatically Wanted iirc...even if there's technically no crime being committed. Weird, but there you go :p

Anarchy system where all were lawless? Did you KWS?

I haven't got a kws. I really should get one.

Ahh. Ok. They did attack me first. Not sure the system is Anarchy. I'll have a look later. I mainly do missions now, trying to rank up with the Feds. But I like collecting the bounties when pirates interdict me on route.

A KWS is one of the best investments in the game if you're not worried about fighting. On a lucky scan it can more than double the bounty payout of a target - in RES sites and compromised nav beacons that can sometimes mean over a hundred thousand extra credits for a ten second scan. KWS's pay for themselves very quickly :D

I think is appropriate.

Think I'll get one at the next station stop.

If attacking NPCs, the KWS never picks up bounties from other star systems - only bounties in the name of the three major factions. It means that, unless you go around bounty-hunting CMDRs, you don;t have to traipse all over known space looking for the systems you scored bounties from.

The major faction bounties can be considerable. A couple days ago, I was interdicted by an NPC Diamondback somewhere up in Alliance space.Their only crime in the local jurisdiction was attacking me, apparently; I only got a 400 credit bounty from the local ruling faction. But I also picked up a 90,000 credit bounty to be collected the next time I'm in Empire space.

If they were wanted in the system before they attacked you, then there should be an associated bounty for them even if its just for a major faction such as the Federation. This is regardless of system type, KWS is only for picking up out of system bounties.

What system were you in?

If you were in an anarchy system the ships would have said 'Lawless.'

If it said 'Wanted' there will be a reward but only in the same system that you killed them in. Dock at a station in the same system and go to the Contacts menu to claim your reward.

You might get extra reward from 'Wanted' ships or some reward from 'Lawless' ships if you use a kill warrant scanner (kws) on them before destroying them.

I can't remember the system name. I'll look when I play tonight. It was one jump from 'Spocs 900'. Only one station in it.
